Okay, Naruto fans, It’s time for our Naruto game fall recap! This season, we have three games are being released! Today, we are just going to go over the two games have been released as of now. Those being the two portable Shippuden games – Ninja Destiny II & Akatsuki Rising.
First of all, I just want to let you all know that I have played the Japanese version of Ninja Destiny II and I honestly wasn’t very impressed. Akatsuki Rising didn’t look like a real winner either, especially with some ugly graphics which didn’t even good for last generation standards. So now, I’ll let it off to the pro game reviewers.

Let’s see how Akatsuki Rising did on Metacritic… it got a 62/100.
“Even with an interesting item system and solid Ad Hoc multiplayer, the unintuitive lock-on system, mixed with an overly simple counter system, make Akatsuki Rising a mediocre game at best.” – IGN
“While the battles with faceless bandits can get boring rather quickly, there are decent game modes and decent multiplayer fun to be had in this game if you give it a chance.” – GameZone
Sounds like a good game to get when it’s $20 or lower!

Now for Ninja Destiny II… it got a 60/100.
“The shallow battle system makes the single-player mode boring, and while the story mode is interesting, it isn’t all that long and doesn’t cover much new ground.” – Cheat Code Central
“Naruto: Ninja Destiny II is just like its predecessor: A poor fighting game. Again, the combat system is to simplistic, the available game modes pretty pathetic and on top of that it’s a disgrace to the franchise. So, if you ever get your hands on this game, just throw it as far away as possible. Even if you’re fond of yellow spiked hair and bright colored pajamas.” – Gamer.nl
Long story short? With no Naruto 360/PS3 game this holiday season, it seems like the Clash of Ninja Revoluton III is the Naruto gamer’s last hope for a good Naruto game this year, compared to last year’s solid lineup of Clash of Ninja Revolution 2, The Broken Bond, & Ultimate Ninja Storm which were much, much, better than this year’s current lineup of Naruto games.
