As all know, Infinity Ward lives in money. They are money. Shit so cash down there. With MW2 making over 9,000 (and a half!) sales this holiday season, it seemed that they were an untouchable developer. However, Activision thought differently.

Sometime yesterday, Activision got some "bouncer" looking goons to pull out two big bosses down at IW. Apparently, both men are now unemployed for undisclosed reasons.

With that said, I think MW2 is the last good CoD game now. I wouldn't be surprised if the dev disbanded and then the whole series will probably go over to CoD 3 & 5 (WaW) dev, Treyarch. Just so you know, CoD 3 was crap, and WaW was CoD 4 World War II edition. They recently also ported CoD 4 to Wii which had mixed reviews.

I think this is pretty much just bullcrap.. IW is the only ones who will be able to make more modern warfare games... and believe me when i say this; Activision earns ALOT of money on it!

Even if the IW bosses gets kicked out, they will continiue make games?.. maybe activision is trying to take them all in.

Wiggers don't give a shit on who makes the games. Just as long as keeps the same formula, CoD will never die. Activision probably canned IW so they didn't have to pay them anymore.

Hehe, i think it's more complex than that.. anyhow there will be some lawsuits.. looking forward to that.

There is no way that it's the last of IW. Even if they do get kicked as the MW developers. They would have no trouble finding another publisher and creating another CoD - of course it would be under a different title, but it would still be awesome!!

Btw, I should of rephased this. IW isn't going down. It's just the two guys (bosses) in charge were either fired or let go. It doesn't mean the Modern Warfare series is dead, but it will continued on whoever remains at the company. Besides, IW already promised two map packs later this year. The show must go on!!

The DLC is coming soon... but the 360 gets it like a week earlier... what the fuck is up with that? I thought IW said that they were going to be nicer to ps3 this year?

Microsoft gives them more money to put DLC on the 360 first. They did the same with several other games as well that are multi platform. I believe CoD4 did this too.

GTA IV & Final Fantasy XIII are good examples of this... GTA was once a Sony exclusive, and now it's multi platform. They were paid to release the DLC on 360 first to make it a limited exclusive. FFXIII became multi platform because Microsoft paid them to do so. However, it is still a Sony exclusive in Japan.

Yes, microsoft gives money to IW for special offers & releases but so does Sony. But 1 week? Why? Just can't understand the purpose.. it's not like i'll buy mw2 for 360 as well just to play the maps.

Activision is run by tools. Even if there were no more Modern Warfare games, Activision wouldn't be missing much. Blizzard is under Activision. Diablo 3 will probably blow MW2 sales to bits and pieces. Not to mention there is a hefty number of solid FPS titles coming out, with even more innovative features.
