Hellsing
Hi folks!
I just started Hellsing ... and I was wondering if there were an anime? Is it the adaptation of the manga, in other words, is it worth watching it?? THX!

There is an anime and its totaly awsome! I havent read the manga but i've watched the anime and its one of the best i've seen.. ^^

Yeah it's good, watched it a couple of years ago. Can't remember much othere than it is good.. I mean deamons big guns and boobs, what can go wrong?

Coyote, yes, there is an anime, and it is damn good. However, like most animes, Hellsing had to end early, similar to Inuyasha. I know they rebooted the series and I think they titled it "Hellsing Ultimate", they consider it a OVA, but it's more of a series reboot to me. As of now, it's still ongoing... I watched a few episodes of the newer series, and it looked really good.
Did I mention the guy who does Itachi's voice on the Naruto dub does Alucard's voice? That actor is simply amazing. He puts chills down my spine with that voice of his. (Clip: YouTube - Hellsing OVA III English Dub Preview)

I haven't watched this but is it supernatural themed? Sanji, you mentioned "Alucard"; that is a common alias Dracula uses in folklore (it's "Dracula" spelled backwards for those who didn't realise)

Yeah it's action, drama, horror, supernatural.
And yep, he is a vampire so that makes sense.
Plot Summary: Hellsing follows the antiheroic vampire, Alucard, and a police girl-turned-vampire, Seras Victoria, two vampires employed by the vampire-extermination group of England, the Hellsing Organization. Slowly but surely, through their active duty, they find a new breed of vampires beginning to arise.

Well I'm reading the manga and Alucard is freaking cool. He kinda reminds me of Vicent in FF7 (you know, gun, red cape and the get bent-face!) and Reven, I did not notice the Dracula Alucard thing. shame on me!
Is the anime the same thing as the manga or..?

The anime is hands down the best. I haven't read the manga, but damn, the anime is nuts. Doesn't matter if you watch the original Hellsing or the new Ultimate one, they both still rock the house down!

Wow, after all this enthusiasm; I've gotta watch it! =D I think I'll read the manga first then the anime. I always get bored reading manga after watching the anime, but not the other way round. This way, I get to enjoy both! =P
