They did merge them together.. this is a special "double" episode but they released it as two episodes but at the same time.
Might seem weird but that's how they do it, i guess it's so everything can fit on dvd's and be easier to distribute/stream.
So basically Taka just took the two split episodes and merged them together, as proof you could download any other releases .
if it were merged, the ep wouldnt contain special scenes like sakura interducing a japanese kanji character
the other groups are just taking crunchy rips and cruchy rips are splitting the special episodes (as u can notice of all the previous specials are all splitted).
if u want another proof, ep.151's preview contains the scenes of the whole ep + the title: special
I know that they used to do release it as two seperate episodes, but viz is obviously putting them together at the release. If it's splitted now, maybe just recorded it from the j-release.
All of the raws that's out are out is the two eps in one file "merged", so basically it's Viz's release. Specials can still occur in between the episodes and in the break just like any other anime.
Basically, yeah if they fetched that release they got both eps merged.
Sounds like they need to start putting Shippuden in XVID format if they are actually worrying about people putting these on DVD. They shouldn't be worrying about having one big MP4 file for both episodes, but whatever. At least we still get the releases in some way!
