10.23Amazon’s $450 mega Naruto box set bundle

As you may now if you visit the site, the Naruto Uncut Box Set Volume 10 was released. This box set concluded the canon part of the Naruto anime, and will now continuing the future box sets with filler. I recently was checking out Amazon for the last box set and came across something odd - A Naruto bundled box set. This box set is as Amazon calls it “AMAZON EXCLUSIVE” even though its the standard editions slapped together and shipped to you for over $100 more.

You want to know what’s even worst? If you get them separately on Amazon, the total WILL be cheaper! So what the hell is up? Well I wrote them a review, that you can find on the bundles product page.
Dear, Amazon.
This is from a hardcore Naruto fan that owns 9/10 of the Box sets and I currently maintain a Naruto fansite (Naruto411, google it) where I usually recommend my visitors to your website because you all usually have the best price on the market.
This time, you obviously don’t.
First of all, as Josey here mentioned the total cost if you actually bought them separately is over $100 cheaper from the bundle price. Why is that? Is this the standard or special edition? If it’s the special edition, then the $450 price tag make sense, but it doesn’t say anywhere on here that it’s the special edition, so we all have to assume you all are selling the standard editions of Vol 1-10 bundled for $112 extra. That is terrible.
Let me tell you all something. Vol 1-4 are easy to find but are extremely expensive at most retail stores. Luckily, I got to my local Wal-Mart (back when Vol 5 came out) and got Vol 1-5 for $25 each. Later on, I got Vol 6 for $30 at that same Wal-Mart, then Vol 7 on here for $21, then Vol 8 on here for $20, then Vol 9 for $35 at Wal-mart.
So I got the first nine box sets for $245. I went to Wal-Mart today and saw that Box 10 was going for $30 there, but it was sold out. And you all have it for $35, which honestly, isn’t to shabby. All in all, let’s say I did get the box set at Wal-Mart. My total for all ten box sets would of been $275. If you add on Maryland’s .6 Sales tax (for Vol 1-6, 9, and 10*) would make my total to $287.90.
(*Again, I do not own Vol 10, I was just using it as a example)
I saved $162.09 for not buying all the box sets from Amazon, and you can too if you don’t buy this, and buy them either separately from here, or from other stores. All of these box sets are Part I of Naruto (Part II being Naruto Shippuuden). Box set 11 and beyond are filler. I recommend buying these box sets because Naruto is a awesome anime series, but its sad that every retail store on the market can never price them properly.
Don’t waste your money on this bundle. It’s not a bundle, its a rip off! Amazon FIX THIS PRICE or else we will be going elsewhere!
So if you all like wasting $450, go ahead, I won’t stop you, but if mommy and daddy aren’t willing to drop $450 on you, you need to start looking elsewhere.

So now you all know what happened. Asuma dies. Now you all know why he’s been given a huge amount of screen time (attention) in the past couple of episodes. So yeah, again keep the tissues handy for this episode as it concludes his death.

10.14Naruto the Movie 3 coming on DVD!

Speaking of Naruto movies, the final and third Naruto movie “Guardians of the Cresent Moon Kingdom” will be coming on DVD on November 11th. The price on Amazon for it is a decent $19.99 price, but you all want to know something? This movie actually isn’t all that bad. I shit you not. This is actually my favorite movie between all three Naruto movies. So anyway, I actually recommend you all preodrdering it unlike the second movie which is so bad imo, that it’s already free to watch online! =P

10.14Naruto the Movie 2 streaming online - LEGALLY!

A few months ago, Viz released the not so good 2nd Naruto movie to DVD. Now Toonami Jetstream (which won’t be called that much longer) is now streaming the whole movie online for free. So close out that shitty YouTube sub of the movie, and legally watch the dubbed version, whether that be a good or bad thing, that’s all up to you.
This movie is better off being free.

Just to let you all know, like all legally streamed shows and movies there will be small commercials and it is split up in parts just like YouTube (except I think it goes on the next part automatically for you) but hey, I’ve watched a few things on there and it isn’t to shabby. They got a full screen option and that’s all I really require nowadays. As for edits, I don’t know of any, but be prepared if something is edited.
Also just to let you all know this will only be up until November 10th on Toonami Jetstream, so you all have about to month to go there and watch it.

10.09Naruto Box Set 11

Oh god. It has started. As I said a few days ago, Naruto Box Set 11 and beyond will all be filler. This box set goes for the price of $29.99 which is barely acceptable, but I have to say, the later filler episodes get worst than these episodes are, so if filler floats your boat, than I guess you have nothing to lose with the 1st filler box set. The 11th box set will be released on December 16th, just in time to ruin somebodies Christmas. Perfect.

10.08Naruto Games Update

I know its been quite a while since we’ve done a recap on the upcoming Naruto games in the gaming world, but there are four upcoming games all on four different platforms, all being released in time for the holiday season! We’ll start from my favorite to my least favorite.
Naruto: The Broken Bond (Xbox 360)
Release date: November 18, 2008
Sequel to last year’s “Rise of a Ninja” this game continues where the last game left off. The trailer here shows off fights from the final canon arc of Part I, and it looks awesome.
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm (Playstation 3)
Release date: November 4, 2008
The fourth game in the Ultimate Ninja series, and the first next gen Naruto fighting game. The screens i’ve seen in the past couple of months look promising, and the trailer makes it look even better. A shame I don’t have a PS3 (and I still don’t plan on getting one until I find at least 5+ games I want).
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 (Wii)
Release date: October 21, 2008
Sequel to last year’s Clash of Ninja game. were treated to yet ANOTHER game using the same gamecube engine that was used in the first game back in 2002. This game will contain new characters, stages, and according to the trailer under this, a lousy filler character just for the game. Exciting.
Naruto Path of the Ninja 2 (DS)
Release date: October 14, 2008
You know, I just noticed that all of these games are sequels… should of figured! This is the sequel to last year’s RPG DS exclusive (was a GBA game) game, and yet again it still looks like a gba game. It least it wasn’t ported from the GBA this game… looks alright. =/
